On Wednesday, March 20, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District<\/a><\/span> (PYLUSD), in partnership with the\u00a0Placentia and Yorba Linda Chambers of Commerce, held its annual \u201cPrincipal for a Day\u201d event. The Chambers organized a list of community members and local business representatives to tour a specific school in the District.<\/p>\n

Bryant Ranch’s Principal for a Day, Bo Lowe, engaging with students.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

Not only did guest principals have the opportunity to\u00a0gain an\u00a0exclusive\u00a0view of school sites, they also learned about the\u00a0long list of responsibilities that come with being a\u00a0principal in PYLUSD. Many of them gave the morning announcements, toured a variety of classrooms, and had the chance to\u00a0witness student learning along the way. The experience also provided an opportunity for the District to demonstrate what makes their schools so special\u00a0including extensive programs, high quality teachers, state-of-the-art facilities, integrated technology, and endless community support.<\/p>\n

The Principal for a Day event aligns with the \u201cPYLUSD Advantage\u201d Focus Area 3.0, Engaged Community, which states, \u201cwe establish a culture which encourages positive relationships among our students, staff, and parents as well as educational, business, and community partners.\u201d<\/p>\n

The District is very grateful for the continued support of the Placentia and Yorba Linda Chambers of Commerce, as well as its engaged community!<\/p>\n
