El Dorado High School (EDHS) held its commencement ceremony on Wednesday, June 12, in Bradford Stadium. The Golden Hawk Class of 2019 included 450 graduating seniors; 88% of which have committed to attend a two or four-year college or university following graduation.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Impressively, the EDHS Class of 2019 earned over $5.4 million dollars in college scholarships and grants, donated over 32,500 hours of service back to their community, and included 35 Digital Media Arts Academy (DMAA) graduates.<\/p>\n

The ceremony included honored guests such as Board of Education President, Carrie Buck, Trustee, Carol Downey, as well as the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Superintendent, Dr. Greg Plutko, Deputy Superintendent, Candy Plahy, Director, Cary Johnson, and Principal, Joey Davis.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Graduating students Brianna Fain and Austin Barber both addressed their fellow peers and the crowded stadium with words of reflection, wisdom, and inspiration revolving around their time as Golden Hawks.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Upon receiving their diplomas, the Golden Hawks tossed their caps in the air to soar, signifying the end of their time in PYLUSD.<\/p>\n
