{"id":16690,"date":"2019-06-10T18:58:43","date_gmt":"2019-06-11T01:58:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=16690"},"modified":"2019-06-13T15:07:22","modified_gmt":"2019-06-13T22:07:22","slug":"pioneer-day-at-morse-elementary-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=16690","title":{"rendered":"Pioneer Day at Morse Elementary School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">On June 6, 2019, 4th graders at Morse Elementary School participated in Pioneer Day.\u00a0 A total of 74 students were dressed for the occasion as pioneers or gold miners.<\/p>\n<p>The students learned how to pan for gold, took part in activities in a one room schoolhouse, simulated the Pony Express, square danced, engaged in a covered wagon race, sang campfire songs, and so much more.<\/p>\n<p>This event wouldn\u2019t have been possible without the help of many parent volunteers and 4th grade teachers, Mrs. Leiva and Ms. Parelli.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Pioneer Day was a rootin\u2019 tootin\u2019 good time!&#8221;
