{"id":17036,"date":"2019-09-12T12:36:07","date_gmt":"2019-09-12T19:36:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=17036"},"modified":"2019-09-13T06:44:19","modified_gmt":"2019-09-13T13:44:19","slug":"valencia-vocal-music-program-performs-at-annual-yorba-linda-mayors-prayer-breakfast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=17036","title":{"rendered":"Valencia vocal music program performs at annual Yorba Linda Mayor&#8217;s Prayer Breakfast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, September 12, the Valencia High School Vocal Jazz Ensemble proudly represent their school and the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) by performing at the Yorba Linda Mayor\u2019s Prayer Breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>This is the third year that Valencia&#8217;s\u00a0vocal program has been invited to sing at the\u00a0event\u00a0held at the Yorba Linda Community Center. Dedicated students in the a cappella choir were encouraged to wake up at 4:15 a. to warm up their voices. Their microphone check was at 6:00 am. and students showed with excitement and enthusiasm, eager to perform. Students sang &#8220;America the Beautiful&#8221; and &#8220;Light in the Hallway.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, Mrs. Carmona, PYLUSD Board of Education Clerk, took the time to commend the students following their performance.
