Their first discussion was about social media and the impact it has on today&#8217;s youth.<\/p>\n<p>Together, his language arts class decided to use their SnapChat and Instragram accounts to help a boy named Landon Solberg in North Dakota. Landon started receiving hospice care for brain-stem cancer and had a wish to receive a &#8220;shout out&#8221; from his favorite singer, Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n<p>Three days after Landon&#8217;s wish went viral on social media, he received a\u00a0Facetime call from Taylor Swift. Sadly, Landon passed away shortly after, but not before he inspired many others.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Mr. Twamley&#8217;s students are collecting and sending some of their favorite books to his school library to honor &#8220;Landon&#8217;s Light.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Twamley\u2019s class at Kraemer Middle School recently began to study communication.
