Law Academy hosted its fall Peer Court session on October 9, 2019. Nearly 75 Golden Hawks volunteered their time to take part in this civic engagement program and were commended by the presiding judge and supervising attorneys for their excellent questions, serious and thoughtful deliberation, and fair recommendations as jurors.<\/p>\n<p>Participating students commented, \u201cIt was interesting getting a real-life judicial experience,\u201d \u201cIt really opened my eyes up to many things. I wish it would be more often!\u201d and \u201cIt\u2019s neat that I know now what it\u2019s like to be a juror and I\u2019m more ready for my first jury duty!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0E.D. LAW Academy at El Dorado provides students with access to coursework and supplemental experiences that will augment their knowledge of the legal field and its various professional pursuits, expose them to legal reasoning and writing skills, and enhance their ability to achieve success in collegiate- and graduate-level academic coursework.<\/p>\n<p>Way to go, Golden Hawks!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El Dorado High School&#8217;s E.D.
