As participants of the &#8220;Girls on the Run&#8221; program at Ruby Drive, these scholars have been preparing for this event by committing to two hours per week after school to exercise and learn about applying social-emotional skills.<\/p>\n<p>The team of girls is led by Diana Duarte, a Ruby Drive alumni, who is now attending California State University, Fullerton. As a result of Ms. Duarte&#8217;s leadership and assistance, students have a sense of empowerment and understanding that they are valuable, talented girls who can achieve any goal they want to pursue whether as a group or individuals.
