Lakeview Elementary School’s student leadership program, known as the GLEE Club, held\u00a0their first annual “Soup”er Bowl! As a part of this initiative, the Lions encouraged their peers to bring in over 1,800 cans of food and boxes of cereal\u00a0to benefit the nonprofit organization Pathways of Hope.\u00a0Pathways of Hope provides food to Fullerton families and individuals facing homelessness, poverty, and food insecurity.<\/p>\n

Some of the\u00a0food items\u00a0were also\u00a0placed in a local\u00a0“Blessing Box” in Placentia. Blessing Boxes are small\u00a0structures where people leave donated goods for others to pick up anonymously. Located in a common area, people are filling them with items that will help those in need\u00a0including non-perishable food to toiletries.<\/p>\n

The “Soup”er Bowl was an amazing event that will help so many people in the\u00a0community! Way to go, Lions!<\/p>\n
