The competition took place in Las Vegas.\u00a0 Esperanza&#8217;s Jazz 1 band took the &#8220;Spirit of Ellington&#8221; Award for being the most &#8220;Outstanding&#8221; band at the Festival.<\/div>\n<div>\nCongrats to Aztecs Leo Chang, Evan Sun, and Matthew Sosa for being named the best clarinetists.\u00a0 Also, congrats to Jack Durbin for being named best drummer of the festival.
