Kraemer Middle School’s Science Olympiad teams competed\u00a0February 15 and 16 in the\u00a0Orange County Regional Competition at University of California, Irvine. Kraemer’s two teams earned medals in almost every event\u00a0at both levels, ultimately earning the varsity team a 2nd place finish and the\u00a0junior varsity team a 3rd place finish in\u00a0all of Orange County.<\/p>\n

Principal Michael Young was there to support the Cubs as they competed and shared,\u00a0“I very inspired by their dedication and performance.”<\/p>\n

Kraemer’s varsity team will now move onto the state level competition at\u00a0the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena on Saturday, April 4. Last year\u00a0at this competition, Kraemer won first place<\/a><\/span>, earning the title of 2019 Southern California State Champions.<\/p>\n

Science Olympiad is a scholastic competition where students compete in 23 events pertaining to various scientific disciplines including social science, earth and space science, physical science and chemistry, technology and engineering, and more. Each year, over 7,500 middle and high school teams from around the country compete in multiple levels of competition including regionals, states, and then nationals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
