Kraemer Middle School is proud to announce Edwin Sanchez Contreras as one of only seven 2021 Angels 8th Grade AVID Scholars. His award includes a $10,000 college scholarship upon completion of 4 years of AVID in high school. Additionally, Edwin received a medallion, certificate, and laptop computer.<\/p>\n
The rigorous application for this prestigious award included a formal interview with OCDE and the Angels Baseball Foundation alongside submission of transcripts, a teacher letter of recommendation, proof of involvement in community service and leadership positions, and a student essay.<\/p>\n
As an AVID National Demonstration school, Kraemer Middle continues to innovate, ensuring students are college and career ready. On 5\/19, the school hosted a Virtual Career Day event thanks to the assistance of 20 local professionals. “Our goal is to continually inspire all students to think about their bright futures,” shared Principal Mike Young.<\/p>\n
