{"id":22376,"date":"2022-10-03T10:20:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-03T17:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=22376"},"modified":"2022-10-06T10:28:03","modified_gmt":"2022-10-06T17:28:03","slug":"oc-register-placentia-yorba-linda-unified-students-score-strong-on-ap-ib-exams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=22376","title":{"rendered":"OC Register: Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified students score strong on AP, IB exams"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Orange County Register recently published an article about the district&#8217;s strong Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exam scores from the 2021-2022 school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>A number of records were set at the four comprehensive high schools in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, both district-wide and at individual campuses, on the Advanced Placement examinations most recently administered.<\/p><p>Records also were set on the International Baccalaureate examinations administered at Valencia High School, with a new high of 80 seniors awarded the prestigious IB diploma.<\/p><p>The district\u2019s overall pass rate on the two- and three-hour Advanced Placement tests increased more than 7% over the already-high pass rate achieved in 2021.<\/p><p>Passing scores \u2013 three or higher on a five-point scale for AP and four or higher on a seven-point scale for IB \u2013 can earn university credits and allow students to bypass introductory courses.
