Over the past few months, the class has been researching and developing several ideas related to policy\u00a0for their Task Force project. The class decided to share their thoughts on\u00a0reimagining\u00a0community service. The proposal was called Inreach and was intended to promote a positive approach\u00a0and meaningful personal connection\u00a0to service. If adopted, El Dorado High School would host a community service fair\u00a0to allow community service organizations\u00a0to have time and space on campus to promote the service opportunities they provide students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several local community organizers were on hand to hear the pitch and provide feedback, Ward Smith, Mayor of Placentia, Carrie Buck, School Board Member and Executive Director of Homeless Intervention Shelter, Marilyn Anderson, School Board Member and Executive Board Member of LOVE Placentia, Letty Gali Co-Founder and Director of Lot 318. From the District Office, we were pleased to have Assistant Superintendent of Education Services, Dr. Linda Adamson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ED LAW is a career-themed academy available only at El Dorado High.
