It is the mission of Yorba Linda High School’s B.E.E. Society (Beautiful, Endearing, Expressions) to provide students with opportunities to serve and make a positive impact on communities in need. Some of the initiatives and collaborations led by B.E.E Society and Yorba Linda High School students included making over 100 beaded bracelets for victims of domestic violence, collecting 100+ plushies for children with disabilities, packing 10,000 meals to send overseas to impoverished children and families, wrapping over 60,000 presents for children in El Salvador for Christmas, and helping to set up a food pantry and handing out groceries to 325 socioeconomic families. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Thanksgiving, the B.E.E Society expanded its impact by hosting a Boxed Mixes Food Drive in collaboration with the YLHS Parent Teacher Student Association, and Valencia and Esperanza high schools. Through this partnership, YLHS collected 3,000+ boxed mixes and cans and packaged them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mustangs then donated the goods to a local middle school, Pathways of Hope, Mary’s Kitchen, Grandma’s House of Hope, Orangewood Foundation, and Laundry Love, feeding 400+ families with needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students credit their success to the support of the staff students of YLHS, B.E.E. Society President\u00a0Elyse Tran,\u00a0President of VHS Fellowship Christian Athletes Hosanna Chung, and EHS Junior ASB President Krystel Cada, who helped coordinate and promote the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
