This recognition for Coach LaMonda comes on the heels of the Golden Hawks&#8217; impressive season, which included a 8-6 overall record and a 2-1 finish in the North Hills League. They also reached the CIF Southern Section Division 7 final this season, the program\u2019s first section championship game since 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur guys stayed true and listened to the coaching staff,\u201d said LaMonda. \u201cWe played in some exciting games, like beating a good Laguna Beach team in the playoffs on the road, and there was that crazy semifinal double-overtime game.
