The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) unveiled its 2023-2024 Employees of the Year on February 1, 2024. These nine employees were nominated by one or more of their colleagues or supervisors, who detailed the outstanding contributions they provide to the district that go above and beyond. The nominating individual also described how the candidate demonstrates the district\u2019s four core values of excellence, collaboration, integrity, and innovation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOn behalf of the Board of Education, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the outstanding individuals who have been named this year\u2019s Employees of the Year. Their invaluable contributions to student success and unwavering commitment to serving our community exemplify the essence of our district\u2019s core values,\u201d shared Dr. Alex Cherniss, Superintendent of Schools. \u201cThey embody our motto of Putting Kids First, <\/em>and collectively they ensure a brighter future for the students in our care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PYLUSD has a long-standing tradition of surprising its Employees of the Year at their school sites or in their departments. On Thursday, February 1, the district\u2019s executive leadership team went out on \u201cPrize Patrol\u201d to honor this year\u2019s winners. They are as follows:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nine Employees of the Year received a check courtesy of SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union and a plaque from the district to help commemorate their momentous achievement. The district is very grateful for the continued partnership and support of SchoolsFirst. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The district extends its gratitude to all nominees for Employee of the Year, recognizing their daily efforts in preparing each PYLUSD student for success now and in the future. With an exceptional and compassionate staff, the task of making the ultimate selection is difficult each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
