The Orange County Register recently announced the\u00a02024 nominees for their annual Artist of the Year<\/a> awards. Each artist is nominated for a specific category, which includes fine arts, dance, film and TV, theater arts, media arts, instrumental music, and vocal music. This year, 77 Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) high school students were nominated in six of the seven disciplines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All 892 Orange County nominees from 85 participating high schools and arts organizations were recognized by their teachers and private instructors for their outstanding abilities. After the nomination process, a panel of arts educators will conduct in-person interviews to choose the Artist of the Year semi-finalists. The awards\u2019 semi-finalists will be published on Sunday, April 21, and finalists on Sunday, April 28.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
