{"id":2699,"date":"2016-02-11T10:00:57","date_gmt":"2016-02-11T18:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=2699"},"modified":"2016-02-11T14:57:03","modified_gmt":"2016-02-11T22:57:03","slug":"fullerton-elks-donate-money-for-pe-supplies-at-fairmont-elementary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=2699","title":{"rendered":"Fullerton Elks donate money for PE supplies at Fairmont Elementary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Steve Vartanian from Fullerton Elks Lodge #1993 presented a $200 donation to Fairmont Elementary School for Coach B&#8217;s (Nate Babcock) physical education (PE) supplies.<\/p>\n<p>For approximately 40 years, the Elks have promoted an anti-drug message through their &#8220;Hoop Shoot&#8221; program, with a motto of, &#8220;Yes to Hoop Shoot and No to Drugs!&#8221; Approximately three million boys and girls ages eight through 13 participate nationally each year. Last November, Mr. Vartanian presented the free anti-drug &#8220;Hoop Shoot&#8221; program to five PE classes consisting of third through sixth graders.\u00a0Woodsboro Elementary School student Emily Briggs is a two-time state champion and national finalist in the &#8220;Hoop Dreams&#8221; program.
