On Saturday, April 20, El Dorado High School traveled to Academic WorldQuest (AWQ) competition held in Washington D.C. Amidst fierce competition from high school students nationwide, El Dorado’s Team Gold secured an impressive 2nd place, marking a significant milestone in the school’s academic endeavors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academic WorldQuest is a prestigious competition that draws participants from World Affairs Councils across the United States. These councils organize community-level competitions throughout the year, culminating in the Carlos and Mal\u00fa Alvarez Academic WorldQuest National Competition. For the past three consecutive years, El Dorado’s AWQ Team has dominated the regional stage, earning the opportunity to represent their community on the national platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite formidable competition, El Dorado’s Team Gold showcased exceptional knowledge, critical thinking skills, and teamwork throughout the competition. Their impressive performance earned them a well-deserved place among the top contenders, falling short of the championship title by just one point to a formidable team from Kentucky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to Bailey Alam, Arya Darvish, Greeva Ramani, and Marlowe Snapp, on their outstanding performance at the Academic WorldQuest National Competition. Well done Hawks! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
