{"id":2832,"date":"2016-02-13T12:00:53","date_gmt":"2016-02-13T20:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=2832"},"modified":"2016-02-19T16:37:57","modified_gmt":"2016-02-20T00:37:57","slug":"students-studying-german-at-esperanza-visit-uci","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=2832","title":{"rendered":"Students studying German at Esperanza visit UCI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday, Feb. 10, 39 German students (level 1 through AP) from\u00a0Esperanza High School took a field trip to the University of California, Irvine, campus to take part in the second annual German Day. Six different high schools from Southern California attended\u00a0this informational, fun-filled event.<\/p>\n<p>After checking in and receiving a folder with lots of information, students were greeted and welcomed by UCI German Professor Glenn Levine. Students were then dismissed to their first of two 45-minute sessions on topics of their choice. Over 20 different sessions were offered, with topics ranging from modern German pop music to studying abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Some students choose a scavenger hunt option over the two sessions. During the scavenger hunt, students split up into groups and answered 40 questions in German about things located on the campus.
