On Wednesday, October 16, Fairmont Elementary held its annual Jog-a-Thon, bringing together students, staff, and the entire school community to support education and enhance school programs through an engaging day of fundraising. This year, the goal was to raise $70,000, with earners competing for various prizes and top earners winning a silent DJ and pizza party. If the goal is reached, some teachers have even promised to race each other in inflatable costumes! Last year, the school met its fundraising goal, and as a reward, Principal San Roman kissed a pig!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jog-a-Thon received tremendous support from students, families, and local community members. A DJ set the rhythm for the runners, creating a lively atmosphere that energized the young athletes. The sidelines were filled with banners, cheering families, and the school\u2019s mascot, Freddy Falcon, all adding to a spirit of unity and encouragement. After their runs, participants enjoyed popsicles as a refreshing treat to celebrate their hard work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than just a fundraiser, the Jog-a-Thon celebrated health, teamwork, and community spirit. This event not only helped students raise money for their school but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and physical wellness. The success of this fundraiser reflects the generosity and support of Fairmont\u2019s families, community members, and sponsors. Way to go, Falcons!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
