Golden Elementary School recently demonstrated the strength of its community through a large-scale book drive aimed at supporting schools and families impacted by recent wildfires. The devastating fires left many without essential belongings, but the school\u2019s students, staff, and families united to provide comfort and educational resources through the power of books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the dedicated leadership of teacher Suzie Bilhartz, Golden Elementary spearheaded the initiative, resulting in the collection of over 50 large boxes filled with books. The effort was a testament to the school\u2019s commitment to compassion and learning, providing a meaningful way to support those in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The school\u2019s efforts were amplified through a partnership with the local business Blue Scoop Creamery, which helped raise awareness and collect additional book donations. After the collection was complete, the books were transported to a bookstore in Alta Dena that generously offered to assist with organizing and storing the donations. This thoughtful collaboration ensures the books will be ready for distribution when recipients are prepared to receive them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
