Maria serves as a Special Education Intervention Assistant at Golden Elementary School in Placentia. This video recaps the day PYLUSD executive leadership members, along with the presidents of the Association of Placentia-Linda Educators and the California School Employees Association (CSEA), joined her colleagues to surprise her with the exciting news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Mrs. P is lovingly referred to as a ray of sunshine at our school\u2014not only for her students but also for our staff. She greets everyone by name and with a warm hug. She genuinely cares for all staff members, always looking out for her teachers, office staff, and administrators,\u201d noted Principal Kristin McDonald. \u201cWhen it comes to her students, she is both fierce and loving. She treats them like her own children, celebrating both small and big wins every single day. Students love coming to school and working with Mrs. P because they trust her.
