On Monday, April 1, the El Dorado High School Winter Guard traveled to Dayton, Ohio, to participate in the Winter Guard International (WGI) World Championships for the eighth time in the school\u2019s history. This prestigious national event, held over the course of three days at the University of Dayton Arena, featured performances from top winter guard programs across the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Dorado’s Winter Guard earned an impressive fourth-place finish in the World Class Finals, ranking among the top 15 winter guard units in the nation. This placement marks the highest achievement in the program\u2019s history at WGI World Championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ensemble\u2019s 2025 program, titled “All Human Beings,” featured spoken word excerpts from Eleanor Roosevelt\u2019s 1948 speech on human rights. The performance was met with a standing ovation from an audience of approximately 14,000 attendees, who responded enthusiastically to both the artistic excellence and the powerful message conveyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Dorado High School\u2019s Winter Guard represented their school, district, and broader community with distinction and professionalism. Their appearance at this elite level of competition stands as a testament to their dedication, talent, and the strength of their program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
