Kraemer Middle School LEGO Robotics Teams Advance to Regionals After Outstanding Performance at Val Verde Qualifier"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Saturday, November 1, three First Lego League (FLL) Robotics teams representing Kraemer Middle School Hub\u2014<em>Control-Alt-Elite<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>The Green Eyeballs<\/em>, and&nbsp;<em>Iron Clad Pythons<\/em>\u2014competed among 24 teams at the Val Verde Unified School District Qualifier and all advanced to the FLL Regional Championships to be held in mid-December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a field of more than\u00a0700 teams across Southern California, these three REACH Foundation teams stood out for their creativity, problem-solving, and engineering excellence.\u00a0<em>Control-Alt-Elite<\/em>\u00a0captured\u00a0first place\u00a0with an impressive high score of\u00a0415 points\u00a0in the Robot Game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s FLL theme,&nbsp;<em>\u201cUnearthed,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;challenged students to design and present innovative solutions inspired by archaeology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Control-Alt-Elite<\/em> impressed judges with a precision robot design and earned the 1st Place Robot Performance Award.<strong><br><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>The Iron Clad Pythons<\/em>, a rookie team, engaged with five professional archaeologists, historians, paleontologists and scientists from UCI and Stantec Inc. to inform their research.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>The Green Eyeballs<\/em> developed \u201cRace for Relics,\u201d an educational game board designed to spark student curiosity about archaeology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are thankful to our coaches, parents, district, and community partners for this transformative educational experience\u2014teaching real-world skills to help students reach their highest potential,\u201d said\u00a0Gisele Nguyen, President of the REACH Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur journey this season has been about learning, improving, and growing together,\u201d said\u00a0Coach Madhura Shaligram, whose team earned the top Robot Game score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBeyond robotics, our students are learning to value diverse ideas, take feedback, and engage with their community,\u201d added\u00a0Coach Mary Ahn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The REACH Foundation congratulates the students on their hard work and dedication and looks forward to
