Student engagement and meaningful learning experiences are thriving at Van Buren Elementary School, where both academic growth and positive behavior are being celebrated in creative and impactful ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Mr. Kessler\u2019s Resource Specialist Program (RSP) classroom, student success is recognized daily through a sticker chart that highlights moments of respect, kindness, and responsibility. This system encourages positive choices while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Students proudly earn stickers for their efforts and can trade them in for prizes, making recognition both motivating and meaningful. This dedicated group of sixth graders consistently demonstrates determination, perseverance, and pride in their progress, while encouraging one another to strive for their personal best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hands-on learning also took center stage in the fourth grade classrooms at Van Buren Elementary School as students brought history to life through a collaborative social studies project. After studying pueblos, students in Ms. Myers\u2019 fourth grade special education class partnered with Mrs. Radicelli\u2019s fourth graders for an interactive learning experience. Together, students planted Pueblo crops, gaining a deeper understanding of how Native peoples cultivated food while connecting historical concepts to real-world applications. Working side by side, students explored the relationship between past and present, strengthening both academic knowledge and peer collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Across grade levels, these experiences reflect Van Buren Elementary School\u2019s commitment to nurturing the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally, while fostering curiosity, cooperation, and a love of learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
