Principal Carey Cecil presented Nisha with the Academy&#8217;s Award of Excellence for her contributions and efforts in academics, leadership and service.<\/p>\n<p>During the Congress, Nisha was able to meet some of today&#8217;s leading scientists, industry leaders and Nobel laureates. When Principal Cecil pointed out that Buzz Aldrin signed her certificate, Nisha calmly replied, &#8220;That&#8217;s nice. I got to meet him in Boston&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The Congress selection process included students with at least a 3.5 GPA who aspire to careers in medicine, science and technology.<\/p>\n<p>The National Academy of Future Scientists and Technologists supports all K-12 and college students who wish to devote their lives to the sciences and technology.<\/p>\n<p>Congrats Nisha!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In June, senior Nisha Rao represented El Dorado High School at the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders in Boston.
