On May 2 in Fresno, El Dorado High School senior Fernando Nu\u00f1ez was recognized by both the California State PTA and the National PTA as the 2025\u20132026 California State Winner and National Winner of the PTA Reflections Contest in the Accessible Arts Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fernando earned these prestigious honors for his original film, My Life in Puzzle Pieces, which explores his personal journey of growth, resilience, and belonging. Through the film, Fernando reflects on early expectations surrounding his communication abilities and chronicles the significant progress he has achieved through perseverance, determination, and the unwavering support of his family and educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
