On Monday, April 27, Buena Vista Virtual Academy senior Mikayla De Leon was recognized by the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce Foundation as its March Student of the Month during a special surprise presentation held on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mikayla has distinguished herself through her consistent pursuit of excellence across all academic areas. She demonstrates a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to producing high-quality work, earning the respect of both her teachers and peers. Her dedication to learning and personal growth exemplifies the qualities of a successful and engaged student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the Foundation\u2019s Student of the Month Program, Mikayla received a $100 scholarship presented by Foundation President Anthony Johnson, Treasurer Kevin McCobb, Board Member Lynn Campbell, and Executive Director Susan Wan-Ross. The program recognizes outstanding local high school students who exemplify academic achievement, leadership, character, and service to their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
