On Monday, June 8, Parkview School hosted its 2026 graduation ceremony at the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Performing Arts Center. The event marked a significant milestone for the 38 students who were awarded their high school diplomas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principal Dominique Polchow opened the ceremony with a warm welcome to those in attendance, including Parkview students, staff, families, and distinguished guests. Among the guests were Board President Carrie Buck, Clerk Marilyn Anderson, Trustee Todd Frazier, Deputy Superintendent, Academic Leadership Team Dr. Candace Perez, Director of Student Service Dr. Baldwin Pedraza. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Principal Polchow addressed the audience, highlighting the unique opportunities that Parkview School provides. \u201cGraduates, as you begin this next chapter, remember that there is no single definition of success and no single path to achieving it. Some of you are heading to college, trade schools, military service, careers, athletics, or opportunities still waiting to be discovered. Wherever life takes you, move forward with confidence, curiosity, and purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A heartfelt speech from Salutatorian Ava Priebe and Valedictorian Simran Vaswani followed, resonating deeply with the audience of fellow graduates, family members, and faculty, and was met with enthusiastic applause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before receiving their diplomas, the graduating students were honored with several prestigious awards, including the Presidential Awards, the Seal of Biliteracy, Core Values Awards, Outstanding High School Senior recognition, and the PLUM Scholarship. These honors highlighted the academic and extracurricular accomplishments of the Class of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Board President Marilyn Anderson formally accepted the Parkview Class of 2026, affirming that each student had met all requirements to earn a high school diploma. She also delivered a heartwarming speech, acknowledging the graduates\u2019 dedication and hard work. Notably, 67% of graduates plan to continue their education at a college or university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parkview School, part of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, offers a K-12 Independent Study program tailored to students seeking an alternative to traditional classroom instruction. The program utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, including independent study, online learning, concurrent classes, and workshops, to meet the diverse needs of its learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
