El Dorado High School football player Alonzo Anguiano has been selected as the Los Angeles Rams Week 1 Rising Star, an honor recognizing Southern California student-athletes for their sportsmanship, leadership, and positive impact on and off the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A two-year starter and team captain, Anguiano has distinguished himself as one of Orange County’s leading tacklers, earning First Team All-Epsilon League honors in 2025. His dedication extends beyond athletics, as he maintains an impressive 4.34 GPA while serving as vice president and co-founder of the school’s “Don’t Skip a Beat Club.” Through this student-led initiative, Anguiano helps raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest in young athletes and supports efforts to purchase an automated external defibrillator (AED) for the football program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
