Seven Esperanza High School students were honored during the ceremony as being the best of the best.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholarship winners<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jillian Booher (Medical Sciences Academy)<\/li>\n<li>Kayla McGeorge (Medical Sciences Academy)<\/li>\n<li>Melissa Miller (Computer Graphics)<\/li>\n<li>Jennie Posadas (Computer Graphics)<\/li>\n<li>Cierra Swader (Medical Sciences Academy)<\/li>\n<li>Jason Tirtorhardjo (Visual Communications)<\/li>\n<li>Jannel Wyant (Medical Sciences Academy)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Esperanza Student of the Year<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kayla McGeorge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Medical Sciences Student of the Year<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jannel Wyant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mary E. Moore Scholarship, honoring those who have had to overcome personal obstacles<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jillian Booher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ray Gerace Memorial Scholarship, honoring leadership, respect and the ability to work well with others<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kayla McGeorge<\/li>\n<li>Jannel Wyant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nocrop.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">North Orange County ROP<\/a> serves over 25,000 high school students. Special thanks to Valarie Eason and Thom Metcalf for taking the time to nominate the students, and for coaching them through the application\/interview process.
