More than 230 students were invited to celebrate the wonderful progress made in reading this year. It was a packed house, with 136 families coming to watch their son or daughter receive an award for meeting their end-of-year reading goals. In addition, the students were invited to pick out new books generously donated by families from Travis Ranch School. ELAC Coordinator Guilermina Flores-Magana spoke to the families about the importance of reading over the summer to maintain their skills, and provided all students with a reading packet. Tynes is so happy to celebrate the 3 percent growth in reading scores this year!
