Over 75 talented students participated in Parkview School’s annual Variety Show on Thursday, Dec. 1.<\/p>\n

The evening started with the staff performing a parody of Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” substituting the chorus lyrics with “Read All Day” instead. This coincides with the planned theme for Parkview’s open house in the spring, “The Wonder and Books of Dr. Seuss.”<\/p>\n

The extremely artistic Parkview students, many of whom are professional performers, exhibited a wide range of talent and creativity.<\/p>\n

Students danced, sang and performed a martial arts demonstration, just to name a few. There were many pianists and guitar players \u2013 viola and cello too. Group performances included the students in kindergarten through second grade performing “The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers,” and students in third through fifth grade performing a medley of hip hop dances. The newly formed improv class shared what they’ve been learning using “The 12 Dancing Princesses.” There were performances in Russian and Japanese, as well as from “Les Mis\u00e9rables” and “Spamalot.”<\/p>\n

It was truly a spectacular night to remember \u2013 congratulations to all who participated!<\/p>\n

Parkview would like to thank both El Dorado High School and the district technicians for their professionalism and generosity in making this show a wonderful experience for all.<\/p>\n
