There were approximately 300 students in attendance to explore different healthcare fields. The students watched surgeons, nurses and doctors perform a roleplaying exercise in which a patient was having an appendectomy (removal of appendix) performed. Students actually watched a video of a real procedure that had been performed, with spotters available for anyone who couldn&#8217;t stomach the material. Afterward, there was a Q&amp;A with a panel of medical professionals, as well as interactive displays and one-on-one conversations with the staff.
