They swept the graphic design category at &#8220;Exposed,&#8221; the annual Yorba Linda Public Library art and literature contest.<\/p>\n<p>With the theme &#8220;Hidden Treasures,&#8221; the students at the district&#8217;s award-winning continuation high school proved that many of them are, in fact, hidden treasures!<\/p>\n<p>In the graphic design category:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">First place<\/span>: Max de la Rosa \u2013 &#8220;Hidden Geniuses&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Second place<\/span>: Fernando Villa \u2013 &#8220;Sky&#8217;s the Limit&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Third place<\/span>: Eric Van Wert \u2013 &#8220;Carving of a Feather&#8221; and Nataly Gonzalez \u2013 &#8220;Big Dream&#8221; (tie!)<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Library staff pick<\/span>: Lizette Silva \u2013 &#8220;Mind Treasures&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Honorable mention<\/span>: Vanessa Colmenares \u2013 &#8220;Illumination;&#8221; Gabe Ortega \u2013 The Universe&#8221; and Rakeb Yohannes \u2013 &#8220;Hidden Gem in the Attic&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With more than 60 entries from schools throughout the district, Mr. Petersen&#8217;s students made a positive impression in the community.
