Andrew (AJ) Song, a sophomore at YLHS, launched the very first ACEing Autism branch in Orange County. His goal is to allow children with autism to experience the same passion for tennis that he shares.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the boys tennis team had\u00a0an amazing and inspiring experience, as the kids lit up while playing the sport. Tennis is great for children with special needs \u2013 it helps with hand-eye coordination, develops social skills, enhances fine motor skills and even improves self-confidence.<\/p>\n<p>Each and every year, autism becomes more and more prevalent. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that one in 68 children has been identified with autism spectrum disorder.
