Prior to the May 9\u00a0Board of Education meeting, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District held a reception to celebrate 2017 Community Honorees. Each honored volunteer was specially selected as a result of the unparalleled dedication and outstanding service they continuously provide to each of their respected school sites.<\/p>\n

Deputy Superintendent of Educational Services, Candy Plahy, and Principal on Special Assignment, Carey Cecil, spoke about each of the honorees’ volunteer accomplishments and presented them with a PYLUSD ‘You Are the Advantage,’ certificate of achievement.<\/p>\n

Loved ones, coworkers, and fellow community members packed the Board room in order to cheer on the honorees as they received congratulations from Board members and district administrators.<\/p>\n
