{"id":9072,"date":"2017-06-12T09:32:45","date_gmt":"2017-06-12T16:32:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=9072"},"modified":"2017-06-16T11:40:06","modified_gmt":"2017-06-16T18:40:06","slug":"el-dorado-cte-programs-collaborate-to-build-courtroom-furniture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goodnews.pylusd.org\/?p=9072","title":{"rendered":"El Dorado CTE programs collaborate to build courtroom furniture"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Over the course of the 2016-17 school year, two El Dorado High School Career Technical Education (CTE) programs undertook a large, collaborative project.<\/p>\n<p>The Cabinetry\/Woodworking classes, under the direction of Jim Fox, and the ED LAW Academy, under the direction of Sunshine Cavalluzzi, planned and built authentic courtroom furniture for the school&#8217;s use. The judges bench, witness stand, and jury box were primarily built by students Josh Manassero and Noah Cordero (pictured above) with support from Casey Cullinan, Zach Taylor, and Chris Shaner.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Both Josh and Noah\u00a0have already secured jobs after graduation in Local 803, the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters, as finishing carpenters.<\/p>\n<p>This project is a great example of the cooperation and interdisciplinary thinking among the two programs.
