Each school year, a highlight for seniors in the\u00a0Valencia High School\u00a0(VHS) Val Tech program is the 150-hour internship. Students gain real-world experience using technology they have learned in the classroom and discover the ins and outs of office dynamics and business-place expectations. Over eighty Tigers are working on their internships this year. Some of the intern host\/partners are Boeing, UCI, CSUF, PYLUSD, and many local businesses.<\/p>\n
The six students pictured (L-R) completed their summertime internships at Boeing in Huntington Beach: Christy Yee, Caroline Bostwick, Sharon Wang, Bryce Turcaz, Tyler Sanders, and Nathan Garcia. Also pictured with the students is the Val Tech summer internship advisor, Mrs. Lisa Guest.<\/p>\n
During their internships at Boeing, the students gain hands-on experience as they work alongside a Boeing employee who serves as their mentor, exposing them to opportunities within the facility and industry. Students intern in a variety of areas, including Engineering, Business, and IT.<\/p>\n
