Katie was formally acknowledged with a certificate and letter from Stanford University as an educator who played a significant role in the intellectual, academic, and personal development of one of the Stanford University incoming Class of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>This project is a central part of Stanford&#8217;s Teacher Tribute Initiative, which allows students to express their appreciation and honor those who have made a difference in their lives.<\/p>\n<p>Both Katie (far left) and Melinda (middle) are pictured below in last year&#8217;s AP United States History class at VHS.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valencia High School\u00a0(VHS) teacher, Katie Black-Knyazik, has been selected to receive a\u00a0Stanford University\u00a0Teacher Tribute by former VHS student Melinda Guo, Class of 2017.
