The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) concluded its 2026 Middle School Volleyball season on Friday, October 16, with an exciting championship event at Esperanza High School. Throughout the season, boys’ and girls’ teams from six middle schools competed, demonstrating teamwork, athleticism, and school spirit.
Both championship matches featured Tuffree Middle School and Yorba Linda Middle School in highly competitive contests. Tuffree Middle School emerged victorious in both divisions, securing the boys’ and girls’ championship titles. The girls’ victory was particularly noteworthy, ending Yorba Linda Middle School’s pursuit of a third consecutive championship.
The season highlighted the value of middle school athletics in fostering leadership, perseverance, and sportsmanship. PYLUSD extends its appreciation to Esperanza High School for hosting the championship event and to the coaches, administrators, and families who supported student-athletes throughout the season.
Congratulations to the Tuffree Middle School boys’ and girls’ volleyball teams on their championship victories and to all participating student-athletes on a successful season!
