Congratulations to the six Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) students who were nominated for the Disneyland Resort’s ‘Dreamers & Doers’ award for the 2017-18 school year.
“The community service program was created by the resort with the goal of encouraging and spotlighting high schoolers who give back to their communities through volunteering and other work,” according to the Orange County Department of Education.
The students are:
– Cassidy Lin (12), El Dorado High School
– Gabriel Larson (12) – El Dorado High School
– Destiny Somerville (12) – Valencia High School
– Steven Baek (12) – Valencia High School
– Gabriella Moussa (12) – Yorba Linda High School
– Jacqueline Kieu (12) – Yorba Linda High School
Gabriella Moussa was also selected as a program “Shining Star,” winning a pay-it-forward grant of $1,000 for the Yorba Linda Mustangs.
