Multiple award-winning author, Kathryn Otoshi, led anti-bullying assemblies for all Bryant Ranch School students on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
After witnessing bullying when she was in elementary school, Otoshi grew up realizing the lasting negative effects that bullying can cause. Those personal childhood experiences inspired her to write books to assist students in eliminating bullying.
During the interactive assemblies, the author read aloud three of her books that contained powerful messages. The students learned that everyone has value, and one person can make a difference in preventing bullying.
A free copy of Otoshi’s book One was also given to each classroom teacher.
