Twenty two Valencia High School AVID students partnered with Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) teachers and California State University, Fullerton co-teachers to host the District’s 2018 “Fun in the Sun” Summer ELD Camp.
In addition to almost one hundred community service hours, VHS students gained hands-on experience working with instructional coaches and teachers, facilitating educational lessons, and mentoring students.
Donors with TCCOP (Tender Care Community Outreach Program) were impressed with the VHS students’ dedication and drive to succeed and honored each student with a new pair of shoes.
