Valencia High School students competed April 25-28, 2019, in the California Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference.
California FBLA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) student organization committed to preparing today’s students for success in business leadership.
Like in competitions in the past, the Tigers had great success in the highly competitive event, Economics. Students Sannuth Rao led the way with a first place finish, Chris Leung placed 3rd, and Nick Han finished 7th. According to the school’s principal, Olivia Yaung, Valencia was the only school with three students in the top ten in any competition event that weekend.
The following students also placed in their respective competitions:
- Sannuth Rao, 4th place in Political Science
- Andrea Wang, 2nd place in Introduction to FBLA. She is headed to Nationals in San Antonio, Texas in late June.
- David Lee, 2nd place in Organizational Leadership
- Sam Littrell, 10th place in Organizational Leadership
- Kellen Rivest and Rohan Patel, 4th place in Computer Game Programming & Simulation
- Jerry Yin, Bernett Wang, and Crystal Chau, 5th place in Publication Design
