Rose Drive Elementary School’s Preppy K and kindergarten classrooms were excited this week as they were treated to an unexpected visit from “Clifford the Big Red Dog!” Clifford enjoyed a special reading of the story, “Bear Stays Up for Christmas.” We are not quite sure who had more fun — Clifford or the children!
Clifford entertained the students by acting out each portion of the story, even laying down at one point to fall asleep. Silly Clifford! Students were quick to wake him up, reminding him that the purpose of the story was to keep Bear awake — NOT fall asleep. Special thanks to Clifford for taking time out of his busy day to visit with the students — they simply had a blast! Don’t worry — we were sure to give Clifford plenty of rest after reading. All that excitement left him feeling rather sleepy!
