Peer Assistance Leadership (PAL) students at Glenknoll Elementary School recently got a head start on trick or treating! Instead of knocking on doors and asking for a trick or treat, the students handed out the treats to neighbors surrounding the school.
Twenty PAL 6th grade students spent time decorating pumpkins to present the neighbors with. The school is so appreciative of its neighbors and all that they do! This simple gesture was a way to say thank you for being such great supporters of Glenknoll and its students.
“I enjoyed giving one to the neighbors. It gave me joy.” said student Cole Davis after delivering the treats.
Student Sanjana Sawant commented, “It was amazing! I think this should be done every year in PAL.”
Student Shaurya Nangare also reflected on handing out treat saying, “This experience was great for being social and active. Some people who were in their houses really appreciated the pumpkins that we passed out. I really loved this trip out into the community.”
Keep up the great work, PAL!
