Esperanza Aztec nominated as Athlete of the Week

Esperanza High School Volleyball Player Elyse Stowell is the Orange County Register’s girls athlete of the week. The junior, BYU-committed outside hitter recorded 35 kills and 28 digs to help the Aztecs rally past Murrieta Valley to capture the CIF-SS Division 2 title on November 9. Stowell drilled a “kill” on to earn the championship point. “Doesn’t surprise me,” Aztecs coach Isaac Owens said. “She has been good all year.”
