This week, students at Ruby Drive Elementary School participated in a school wide Kindness Challenge. Staff and students recognized each other for “Kind Acts” including writing a Kindness Gram to someone in appreciation of their kindness, as well as offering verbal praise for helping someone in class or on the playground.
Preppy K students also participated in the kind fun. Students drew a picture or dictated a message to each other in order to express their appreciation for their Preppy K Scholar Partner.
A third grader on campus took this challenge a bit further by asking if she could read to her Preppy K brother and his Preppy K classmates. Not only did Ariana show an act of kindness by volunteering a few minutes of her time in a Preppy K classroom, but more importantly, she brought the joy of reading to Ruby Drive’s youngest students on campus.
